This is yet another fantastic place for fishing. We love the picturesque views of the mountains and river at 2nd Dam. Wind Cave is a delightful hike, but it is significantly longer and involves climbing uphill, so it may not be a great choice for small children. The cave, which is actually more of an exposed archway, is spectacular though, and a good welcome spot to rest after the hike.
We love this enjoyable rest stop in Logan Canyon. Rick's Springtime is a short stop along the canyon road.

One is beneath the springtime and you must scuba dive to see it, but the other one is a short small cave to the left of the springtime. Among our favorite places to visit in Logan is Tony Grove.
The lake sits about 7 miles from the main canyon road, but worth the drive. The wildflowers in the middle of July are breathtaking. Limber Pine Trail is an easy trail to this giant tree. It is actually about 7 trees that grew together, but still remarkable. The route is beautiful and even has a Bear Lake overlook.
One of the reasons we travel this route so often is to visit Bear Lake. If you make it to Limber Pine Pathway, you are just a couple of mins from vibrant blue Bear Lake.
Don't miss Logan National Scenic Byway, particularly when fall colors are on screen. At the highway summit, you can witness an spectacular view of turquoise Bear Lake.
